Discover the new Médianes Program promotion

Last week marked the launch of the second edition of the Médianes Program, our collective mentorship program designed for founders of emerging, independent, and mission-driven media outlets. We are delighted to present to you the ten projects joining this new cohort!

A few days ago, Médianes, the studio, launched the second edition of its collective support program with the aim of supporting ten media projects under eight years old in their development. These projects will benefit from support offered by the Médianes team as well as professionals and experts from the media ecosystem.

In creating this program with studio Médianes, we aimed to offer the most useful and most accessible support for emerging media leaders. Thanks in particular to financial support from the Ministry of Culture, we are able to offer a nine-month collective program at a price of €150 per month, for ten projects, twice a year.

The program launched last week with an in-person event in Paris and a remote component. We're excited to present the ten media outlets joining this new cohort!

How were the projects selected?

The project selection process began in September with a pre-selection phase based on submitted files, conducted by the Médianes team. 19 projects out of 34 applications were selected to proceed to individual interviews. The final selection phase took place with a panel of media experts convened for the occasion that met in early October to review the projects and select ten.

We wanted to curate a selection of media outlets aligned with the values that Medianes represents, with a positive and virtuous impact on society. Thus, the selection was oriented toward initiatives addressing themes we consider essential: mental health, ecology, feminism, advocacy for an inclusive and sustainable society, the representation of territories at local and European levels, political news and democracy, diverse voices and identities…

We have also taken care to assemble a cohort of diverse, complementary projects capable of mutually benefiting from the experience and expertise present within the program.

The ten supported projects

Ten media outlets joined promotion #2 of the Médianes Program: Demos, Flaash, Gaze, Grand Format, L'Informé, mūsae, Revue K, Vivant le média, Vinofutur and What's up EU.
