- FORMAT (Medians) — What if your email inboxes automated themselves by summarizing your messages? A dream for some, a nightmare for the press, which had found in the newsletter a way to escape algorithms. So should we abandon this format? Email remains a decentralized and interoperable tool; a valuable asset that must be seized.
- PLATFORM (journalism.co.uk) — A news outlet plus a social network: that's the formula behind the new app from Bristol Cable. Beyond reading articles, users can post messages, share photos, view other people's profiles, and more. Built on an open protocol, the app also lets you interact with Bluesky and Mastodon.

- PLATFORM (Le Monde) — On Tuesday, October 15, 2025, two independent press projects were inaugurated: the Independent Media Portal and La Presse libre, with a recurring question: how can these two offerings be pooled? Officials insist that the two platforms are complementary; now comes the challenge of making it happen. A joint launch event is already scheduled for October 22 in Paris.

- PLATFORM (DUBLIN) — Another idea to make information more accessible: Momo, a Dutch application that allows students to access articles free of charge that are usually behind a paywall. The seven newsrooms that agreed to participate in the project select themselves the 250 articles distributed each week.
- AUDIENCE (EA) — The Athletic has signed a partnership with Electronic Arts to integrate its content into the EA Sports mobile app (combining sports news and video games) and appear in its games. In the EA FC football simulator (formerly FIFA), players can see articles signed by The Athletic covering the news of their character's fictional career.
- PAPER (It's Nice That) — Perceived as an alternative to an exhausting web, paper is experiencing renewed interest. But the artisanal structures that sustain it remain financially fragile and skills are eroding, disappearing from school curricula. A sector that needs to talk to each other, stand together and pass on knowledge more than ever.
- AI (Aeon) — Contrary to popular belief, the web reflects only a portion of the world's knowledge and cultures. AIs, which rely heavily on data retrieved from the Internet, suffer from these same gaps. For example: Hindi, the third most spoken language, represented only 0.2% of a dataset intended for AIs.
- PLATFORM (CJR) — Reddit, the media's new darling? After a deal with OpenAI and a change in Google's algorithm, the platform's visibility skyrocketed, encouraging newsrooms to share their content there. An interest openly encouraged by Reddit with new tools: analytics, automatic article imports, etc.
- TOOLS (DeArrow) — This open source extension lets users replace YouTube video thumbnails and titles with alternatives chosen collectively through a voting system. The goal: avoid clickbait titles and sensational visuals. What if a similar tool existed for news articles?
