The context
Develop the strategic, marketing and organizational skills of an independent cultural media outlet
Founded in 1993, Mouvement is an independent cultural magazine dedicated to the arts, society, and politics.
In late 2025, the team reached out to Médianes for a custom training program. Our Qualiopi certification guarantees the quality of our educational courses and enables organizations to secure public funding to cover them (OPCO, France Travail, etc.). This program was structured around five modules: diagnostic and educational framework, audience knowledge, editorial marketing and positioning, design of a funding campaign, and development of a marketing action plan. A program designed to build the team's skills and establish a shared foundation to guide future editorial, organizational, and development decisions. The goal: to help the media reach the next level.
Map your audiences
Identify your audiences to better target content and offers
During this first module, the Mouvement team was equipped to identify and understand its existing and potential audiences. Using a segmentation methodology, it built typical profiles (personas) and identified audience needs as well as solutions provided by the media. The team also worked on identifying its relays and ambassadors, and on connecting audience knowledge with user journeys (subscription, donation, engagement) in order to prioritize the most strategic segments for the media's growth. All tools that can be reused to guide future editorial and marketing decisions.

Assert your value proposition
Build a marketing message rooted in the media's identity
Building on the personas constructed, the needs and solutions identified for each audience, and the editorial markers specific to Mouvement, this module enabled the team to clarify its value proposition and develop a coherent editorial argument. The team leaves with key marketing messages formulated collectively, to make a strong identity legible and broaden the readership circle, without compromising the editorial direction.
Design and launch a fundraising campaign
Unite your community and convert your readers into financial supporters
The last two sessions were dedicated to preparing and launching a crowdfunding campaign. First, we did foundational work: defining key messages, identifying target audiences, and choosing formats and rewards to offer supporters. Second, we moved to concrete action: group work sessions, planning key milestones, and building an operational calendar. After these sessions, the team is able to launch and manage its campaign independently.
