In 2020, Christelle Perrin, Marine Doux and Baptiste Thevelein launched Médianes. Over (nearly) four years, new members gradually joined the project until it formed, today, a salaried team of twelve people.
In recent months, the team has undergone significant changes with the arrival of new members, the launch of new projects, and the evolution of each person's role to carry them forward.
What projects are we talking about? This year we launched the Medianes Program, our collective support program, published our first book, Creating a Media, and co-organized the Imprimé Festival and Media Off-Site. We also launched a new newsletter, the 10 links.
We also took part in the redesign of POLITICO's website in Europe, supported the web and marketing launch of the magazine Fracas, worked on the newsletter and social media strategy for Disclose, created the art direction for the media outlet L'Intimiste, produced and funded two new issues of the magazine Pays, built the website for Afrotopiques, worked on digital development for 60 millions de consommateurs and La Déferlante, produced a monitoring newsletter for France Médias Monde's management, and supported Contexte with its communications…
So, you might be wondering who's behind all these projects and what each person's role is within the team. Time for introductions.

An expert in audience development, business models and management, Marine supports media leaders in building sustainable and ethical news titles.
Since 2018, she has worked on the launch and development of around a hundred media outlets, whether traditional or emerging (RFI, La Déferlante, Contexte, Vert, Arrêt sur images, Kometa, Fracas, The Dial), particularly on strategic and marketing issues. Today, Marine leads the editorial and marketing team at Médianes. This involves defining and driving the development strategy, overseeing commercial activity, and managing the editorial and marketing team.
Before launching Médianes, Marine worked at franceinfo, POLITICO, the French Consulate in New York, and media and startup accelerators.

A seasoned expert in both web and print products, skilled in strategy and financing, and equally passionate about administration, Baptiste advises numerous leaders in developing their organizations (StreetPress, Beaux Arts, AOC, Vert, La Déferlante, TheMetaNews, Mediabask, Reporters Without Borders).
Today, he leads the team responsible for digital products and advocacy at Médianes. Baptiste thus oversees all digital projects, defines strategic directions, manages financial and administrative aspects, and handles advocacy at Médianes. Baptiste is also cofounder of the journal Pays, of which he is editor-in-chief and development director.
Before co-founding Médianes, Baptiste launched the online media Maze, served as president of Animafac and participated in creating a community of media founders.

Christelle supervises the art direction of Médianes' internal projects and those of its clients (La Déferlante, POLITICO, Le Ticket, Renaissance Numérique, Thiga, Plouheran, La Disparition, L'Intimiste, Femmes à abattre). She reflects on the alignment between substance and form, and on ways to make content more accessible. To this end, she creates visual identities, designs layouts for magazines and books, and works on the structure and design of websites and newsletters. A stickler for French language, she also edits numerous articles for the publication. She pursues as a side passion the creation of geographical maps, which she produces notably for the magazine Pays, of which she is also a co-founder and art director.

Before launching Médianes, Christelle worked at Libération as an infographics and cartography designer, and at the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education.

Her mission? To structure, organize, and develop our training offerings and help guide Médianes' clients and media projects in their growth.
Pauline is notably responsible for the Médianes Program, our collective support program launched this year.
After training in Historical Research and a stint at 20 minutes, Pauline joined Médianes in summer 2021.

After two years coordinating client-related topics for the studio and managing projects (Vert, Kometa, StreetPress, Contexte, Stup Média, Disclose), Juliette is now Editorial Director at Médianes. She oversees the editorial direction across different channels and is responsible for monitoring the work of the dedicated team. The goal? To align editorial initiatives with the company's strategic objectives. For clients, Juliette provides strategic and editorial advice and is involved in fundraising campaign missions.

Before joining Médianes, Mathilde worked at the Le Drenche newspaper and La Maison de l'Europe de Nantes.

A journalist at Médianes since 2023, Owen is responsible for producing articles for the website as well as translating and adapting English-language content. He is in charge of the 10 Links, our newsletter launched this year, which provides insights into media news and inspiring media practices through a selection of ten links – articles, reports and interviews.
Its role is also to analyze audience development to refine the media's editorial strategy.
Before joining the Médianes team, Owen previously worked with the teams at R'Autan, Le 1 and Le Courrier du Parlement.

Joining Médianes in 2021, Marine is now a section editor for the media division. An intern at Médianes since September 2023, Pénélope is in charge of development and advocacy. Strategic monitoring, event organization, communication… she participates in strengthening Médianes' positioning on its engagement themes: feminisms, ecology, anti-racism, inclusive and sustainable society…
In particular, she participated with Juliette in organizing the third edition of the Imprimé Festival this year.

At Médianes since 2023, Maëlle contributes to the creation of visual identities, layouts, and visuals for social media for Médianes and its clients (Revue Far Ouest, La Déferlante, the Médianes Programme, Renaissance Numérique).
