The context
Co-organize an annual event from start to finish
From 2022 to 2024, we coprodduced the Festival Imprimé, dedicated to committed journalism. The idea? To bring together once a year in Bordeaux journalists, experts, school audiences, professionals, and engaged citizens from Gironde and beyond to promote society through the lenses of ecology, feminism, and social justice.
Editorial direction, visual identity, website, partnerships, communications, logistics, press relations, project management… We coordinated all aspects of the festival's organization during its first three editions, alongside Revue Far Ouest, an engaged media outlet based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and a network of collaborators and partners.
Across these three editions rich with encounters featuring journalists from numerous media outlets such as Mediapart, StreetPress, Vert and also Mosaïque, the Imprimé Festival brought together more than 9800 people in person and online!
Editorial framework
Define the thematic axes
Debate: The Imprimé Festival offers a series of conferences and roundtables open to the public and streamed live online to discuss and debate societal topics related to journalism: ecology, feminism, social justice, inclusion, and journalistic independence.
Raise awareness: By placing accessibility and education at the heart of its approach, the Imprimé Festival aims to raise awareness about issues of equality and social justice, particularly among audiences less exposed to information through screenings and media literacy workshops. As part of the second edition, nearly 500 students were made aware of these issues.
Equip: The Imprimé Festival offers workshops designed to train and equip journalists, media professionals, and (future) media project leaders: media creation, training in solutions journalism… Training these audiences is in the DNA of the Imprimé Festival: to do more than exchange, to engage with society.

Imagine a programming that reflects the richness of today's media diversity
Journalists, researchers, authors, activists… We are committed to highlighting media outlets and personalities that are aligned with our principles both in substance and in form. We aim to ensure parity, to give prominence to people of color, LGBTQIA+ people, and minorities. We are dedicated to amplifying the voices of emerging figures and media alongside more established players.
Placing trans identity at the heart of feminist discussions, examining media coverage of environmental issues and civil disobedience in ecological movements, questioning how we tell France's story, discussing rap, strategic lawsuits, femicide… Over these first three editions, we asked ourselves which questions deserved to be on the agenda and brought together leading figures to debate them and shed light on these issues:
Edwy Plenel (Mediapart), Axelle Jah Njiké (Me My Sexe and I), Juliette Quef (Vert), Inès Belgacem (StreetPress), Mekolo Biligui (independent journalist), Salomé Saqué (Blast), Nassira El Moaddem (Arrêt sur images), Laurène Daycard (journalist and author), Charles Bobe (France 3 Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Manon Boquen (Pays), Lexie Agresti (@Agressively_trans), Antoine Champagne (Reflets.info), Leïla Miñano (Disclose), Laury-Anne Cholez (Reporterre), Rachid Laïreche (Libération), Léna Lazare (Youth for Climate, Les Soulèvements de la Terre), Sophie Le Gall (Cash Investigation), Camille Polloni (Mediapart and Free Press Fund), Simon Barthélémy (Rue 89 Bordeaux), Rachel Garrat-Valcarcel (20 Minutes), Anaïs Carayon (URBANIA France), Léa Gorius (Reporterre), Ariane Lavrilleux (Disclose), Alexandra Colineau (Un Bout des Médias) … Find the full program of previous editions on the festival website ⟶

Partnership Strategy
Bringing together those who drive change
From its very first edition in 2022, the Festival Imprimé was designed with the support and participation of partners. The goal? To make the festival accessible to as wide an audience as possible. Whether at a local or national level, these partners are selected for their alignment with the approach, values and commitments of the Festival Imprimé, and more broadly of the event's co-producers: Revue Far Ouest and Médianes.
From its second edition onwards, the Imprimé Festival opened itself to new collaborations. The event thus benefited from the support of several partners eager to support the event's development and amplify the reach of its engaged discourse. Some partners also contributed to the festival's programming by leading and participating in certain sessions. They are sincerely thanked for their support.

Art direction
Design visual identity from start to finish
With each edition of the Festival Imprimé, a new visual identity is created. The visual identity for the second edition of the event was based on the idea of lines of text, on discourse (both written and spoken) which is one of the festival's foundations. We used these words that burst forth, take flight, as the basis for styling all communication materials. This visual identity was adapted for the festival website, social networks, the newsletter and all materials (slides, signage, etc.). We also designed flyers and posters to illustrate different aspects of the festival — flyers were distributed and posters displayed in strategic locations throughout the Bordeaux metropolitan area.
Logo, colors, shapes: find more information on Christelle Perrin's website, who oversees the artistic direction of Festival Imprimé.

For 2024, its third edition, the visual identity was created by Maëlle Ledu, a graphic designer at Médianes. To maintain continuity, the same typefaces were kept. The lines that are the hallmark of the Imprimé Festival served as the foundation, then were further transformed: enlarged, stretched and warped. A halftone texture was added to bring materiality, and to nod to the grain of various media: photography, television, paper. These new forms are modular and can be mixed together. By assembling and layering them, new compositions can be imagined and adapted to any type of support (poster, programme, social media…). The color palette, for its part, draws from the colors in the brand guidelines of the two co-organizers, Médianes and Revue Far Ouest, blue and yellow and burgundy and beige.

Printed Festival
The Imprimé Festival is an event that brings together journalists and citizens with an engaged perspective on our times. Ecology, feminism, social justice, inclusion: doing more than just exchanging ideas, finding ways to imprint these discourses in our society, in people's minds, and on paper.
