For the 2025 school year, the Médianes Programme is back for a fourth (and final) edition!
Is it time for you and your media to scale up and deepen your skills? Do you want to join a space for collective reflection and mutual support alongside other project leaders and media experts? To join the fourth cohort of the Médianes Program, applications are now open until September 30, 2025.
What is the Medianes Program?
Nine months to continue your development
The Médianes Program offers nine months of support, starting from the end of October 2025, divided into three months of collective training and six months of individual follow-up. Through masterclasses, workshops, exchanges and personalized individual support tailored to your needs, you will be supported by the Médianes team and by a network of media experts to develop your project.
Group sessions will take place on Tuesday afternoons, from October 27 to December 16, 2025. These meetings are organized around four complementary modules, designed to help you structure and strengthen your media.
- Module 1 – Learning to manage your media ethically. During this module, you will work on the internal management of your media: administrative, financial and managerial aspects. The objective is to optimize, stabilize and strengthen your structure to better manage your projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Module 2 – Consolidate your business model. This module will enable you to build, develop and diversify your revenue streams while mastering the financial management of your media outlet to ensure its long-term viability. You will also discover press support schemes suited to your organization and explore a comprehensive map of possible revenue sources.
- Module 3 – Develop a marketing strategy centred on your audiences. You'll learn how to transform your audience into an engaged community by developing strategies tailored to your audiences for acquisition, conversion and retention. You'll also see how to structure word-of-mouth marketing and effectively use tools such as email marketing, press relations and media kits.
- Module 4 — Optimize your communication strategy. This module will help you master your digital tools and social media, optimize your communication, and strengthen your brand image to maximize the impact of your messages.
Through these four modules, the Médianes Programme helps you step back from your project, deepen your knowledge, and scale up, while benefiting from concrete support to implement a sustainable editorial and economic model, in direct connection with your audiences.

A program for committed media founders
The program is open to projects already established in the ecosystem that want to scale up, to support them through this growth phase.
This program is accessible to editorial and creative professionals, including journalists, who wish to develop their skills in management, entrepreneurship, marketing, or leadership. It is also open to leaders from other professional backgrounds.
From an editorial perspective, the program targets independent media outlets seeking to produce quality journalism and make a positive impact on society: print magazines, newsletters, videos, podcasts, websites… All formats are welcome!

A collective of project leaders and experts
Joining the Médianes Programme means becoming part of a cohort of ten projects and integrating into a collective of founders. You will benefit from the experience and insights of other participants as well as from the network of Médianes Programme alumni. Meetings and networking moments are planned to encourage the sharing of advice and resources, and the creation of synergies.
You will also be supported by media experts during collective sessions and through the option to schedule individual meetings with some of them. Previous editions have featured speakers including Clémentine Forissier (Contexte), Marion Wyss (Poool/The Audiencers), Max Boire (ex Spiil), Benoit Huet (Cabinet Avrillon Huet), Willy Clausel (UXO).
A final edition: why?
In 2024, we launched the Médianes Program with support from the Ministry of Culture and its grant dedicated to press and media incubators.
By funding 50% of the Médianes Program, this public support — supplemented by the Médianes studio's contribution (40%) and a symbolic contribution from beneficiaries (10%) — enabled us to offer collective support at an accessible cost, true to the spirit of a program designed for emerging projects.
This allowed us to organize three cycles (and soon four) of support for ten projects each, since the beginning of 2024.
Today, the freeze on public press subsidies is calling into question the sustainability of this funding model. Without guarantees for 2026, we cannot extend the Médianes Program in its current form beyond its fourth edition.
In parallel, other support solutions are available at Médianes: we are working on developing new training programs for the 2025-2026 season and offer tailored support based on your needs, thanks to our studio.
